·         Projects must document their plan for recognition of the Montana Ghost Town Preservation Society contribution by a plaque, notice, etc.

Completion of Work:

·         The funded work must be completed within 12 months of grant approval.

·         An extension may be requested in writing to the board before the end of the 12 months.  A majority vote of the board is required to allow funds to be carried over for 12 additional months.

·         The MGTPS reserves the right to physically inspect the project during the application and evaluation process, during the restoration, and upon completion of the grant work.

How to Apply:

Requests may be made in writing to MGTPS, P. O. Box 1861, Bozeman, MT 59771 or by email to brad.ogrosky@yahoo.com.

Awarded Grants:

Within 60 days of project completion, the grant recipients must submit to MGTPS a final report on the project showing the before and after condition of the items worked on and a summary of what was accomplished. It must also show the plaques and/or other acknowledgements of the MGTPS contributions to the project.  Failure to submit this report may disqualify the grantee from obtaining future grants.

MGTPS will appoint a contact person to track and inspect project progress.  If the workmanship is deemed unsatisfactory, incomplete, or significantly different from the original presentation when applying for the grant, MGTPS may consider disqualifying the grantee from future awards.

A yearly report on the progress and/or completion of grant projects will be presented to the MGTPS board.
